Arkansas Real Estate Salesperson Exam Exam Guide

The national portion contains 80 scored items and 5 pretest items, while the Arkansas law portion contains 30 scored items and 10 pretest items. Candidates are given two to four hours total to complete the exam, depending on which portion or portions are being taken.

The Arkansas Real Estate Commission, in conjunction with Pearson VUE, set a passing score of 70 on the converted scaled score for each portion of the exam.

Resident applicants pay a $50 application fee (nonresidents pay $85), the exam itself costs $75 payable to the testing vendor, and after passing you'll pay a $50 license fee plus a $25 recovery fund fee. Renewing a salesperson license before the deadline costs $60.

Applicants must have reached the age of majority, 18 years old, and must successfully complete 60 classroom hours of real estate education, including 30 classroom hours specifically in the basic principles of real estate.

You must wait 24 hours before scheduling a retake, and you only need to retake the portion you failed as long as you pass both portions within six months of your first attempt. After six months without passing both, you must retake the entire exam.

The Arkansas Real Estate Salesperson exam is administered by Pearson VUE. Your application is valid for one year from its date, and your score report and licensing fees must be submitted to the Commission within 90 days of your exam date.
