The exact test version covered here has six task families: short-answer, repeat, conversation, passage, retell and opinion. Registration, cost and TIN checks

Do not assume a public fee, booking route or retest rule unless it appears in your current official notice, employer or school invitation, or administrator message. Before test day, check these concrete items: fee and currency, who pays, cancellation or retest conditions, where you will test, required identification, headset or device rules, and when access details will arrive. If your sitting uses a TIN or similar access code, treat it as single-use: Pearson states that once you attempt to use a TIN, it cannot be used again. Your inviting organisation or test administrator is normally the practical contact for access details, but you should follow the current notice if it names a different process. If a practice page records your voice, that recording is only preparation evidence; it is not a paid registration and it does not create an official Versant score report.

Format of the English Speaking and Listening Test

The English Speaking and Listening Test lasts 17 minutes. It is a speaking-and-listening assessment, so prepare to understand audio prompts and respond aloud. Do not confuse it with the English Placement Test: that is a different assessment, about 50 minutes, covering speaking, listening, reading and writing, and it includes Sentence Builds in its task list.

Results and practice scores

Official results come through Pearson and the relevant administrator’s process. Pearson notes that an administrator may restrict access to a score report, so contact the administrator if you cannot retrieve it. Practice recordings on this site do not generate official GSE, CEFR or Versant scores, because they are not official Pearson test sessions.

Eligibility and version check

Eligibility, identity rules, remote or test-centre delivery, and permitted equipment are not safely guessable from a generic study page. Use the current official notice or invitation for those requirements. Also verify the name of the assessment: if your organisation asked for the English Placement Test, prepare for that different version, not this Speaking and Listening page.
