There is no verified current CCNA pass-rate figure in the official sources reviewed for this guide. An unsourced percentage, forum poll or prep provider's selected customer results should not be presented as the exam-wide rate. If a new report is published, check its date, sample and treatment of repeat attempts before comparing it.
Use the published requirements as your starting point
The exam owner's documentation and the linked references support the following preparation constraints. Read each in its own unit; a passing standard, content weight and experience requirement answer different questions.
Published requirement or blueprint detail
---
The CCNA 200-301 exam is a 120-minute exam
Domain 1.0 Network Fundamentals is weighted 20%
Domain 2.0 Network Access is weighted 20%
IP Connectivity is the most heavily weighted domain at 25%
Domain 5.0 Security Fundamentals is weighted 15%
Domain 4.0 IP Services is weighted 10%
Domain 6.0 Automation and Programmability is weighted 10%
The topic percentages below are blueprint weights. They do not reveal a candidate pass rate or a guaranteed number of questions you may miss. A practice set with no configuration or troubleshooting work gives only partial feedback.
What makes CCNA practice useful?
- Work through an unfamiliar subnet or route-selection problem and explain the forwarding decision.
- Use a small switching lab to diagnose a VLAN or connectivity fault from the available output.
- Read a short automation or API example and identify what it changes; do not use memorized terminology as the only readiness check.
For each missed question, keep an error log with the topic, the assumption you made and why the closest alternative fails. Then answer a fresh question on the same concept. Repeating a familiar bank can measure answer memory rather than transfer to a new scenario.
This is a suggested diagnostic method, not a validated passing-probability model. If accuracy is weak without a timer, start with the CCNA study guide. If your main problem is recall, use the cheat sheet alongside explanation review. Use the practice link on this page for questions, and separate content review from an eligibility or booking issue.
