Workers Compensation Adjuster Exam — Cheat Sheet
Quick-reference card. Memorize the three hard numbers first — they are the facts examiners hold you to.
Must-Remember Numbers
- Time limit: 60 minutes. Budget your pacing against this ceiling before you start.
- Passing score: 70%. You must reach this threshold to pass.
- Exam fee: $29. Have payment ready when you register.
Pacing Formula
With a 60-minute limit, divide 60 by the number of questions to get your per-question budget. Example: for a 50-question form, that is roughly 1.2 minutes (72 seconds) per question. Flag-and-return on anything that runs long — an unanswered question scores the same as a wrong one, so never leave blanks.
Scoring Math
At a 70% pass line, you can miss no more than 30% of the scored items. On a 50-question exam that is a maximum of 15 misses; on 100 questions, a maximum of 30. Track your allowable-miss count for whatever question count your form uses.
Rules of Thumb
- Answer every question — no penalty math rewards leaving one blank when the bar is a straight 70%.
- Confirm your registration and the $29 fee are settled before exam day so nothing blocks check-in.
- Do a final-minute sweep: with only 60 minutes, reserve the last few for flagged items rather than second-guessing settled answers.
